You enable, support and facilitate the accountable management in leading their teams and managing the people side of change. You report to the HR Manager Europe and will be participating in HR development projects for the Europe region, striving to attract, retain and develop talented people in becoming an employer of choice with a highly engaged workforce.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Play a key role in recruitment by participating in all the necessary activities and campaigns, supporting employee branding activities, creating job descriptions, ads and offers, screening and interviewing candidates  
  • Partner with management in all possible areas which drive engagement and facilitate or guide development programs to improve / sustain effective working relations, people processes and individual performance
  • Run, co-develop and maintain a coherent process to attract (talent acquisition), develop (talent development) and retain (career development) people.
  • Promote, support a learning environment to capitalize on people strengths, create internal career development opportunities and ensure business continuity by sustainable succession planning practices
  • Ensure HR operational excellence by executing, contributing to and maintaining efficient and transparent HR and Payroll administration processes. Ensure compliance with applicable law and legislation regarding privacy, governance and required quality standards. Improve and maintain meaningful HR metrics; reporting on recurrent bases to monitor/review progress on people processes
  • Contribute to the completion of all administration duties including, updating and maintaining the HR database, administering employee benefits, maintaining HR procedures, and liaise with Payroll regarding contractual changes
  • Advise on organization development, ensuring stimulating, safe, healthy and effective working environment
  • Monitor (new) employees documentation, coordinate induction on company information, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Advise, guide and support disciplinary meetings, employment termination and conduct exit interviews. Liaise with the legal counsel if appropriate

Required skills and competences

  • Several years of professional HR experience preferably in an Engineering / Automotive environment
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Resourceful, enterprising and proactive
  • Sourcing & talent development
  • Knowledge of German labour law, social security and payroll topics
  • Bachelor/Master degree in HR/Psychology/Management/Business or related areas
  • Fluent German and English
